ERC RottNRock team visits Teide and Las Cañadas caldera

The ERC Synergy grant RottNRock team carried out their first field campaign of their project at Teide and Las Cañadas Caldera. The ERC-funded team work in collaboration with us, the IPNA-CSIC Volcanology Research Team.

The ERC Synergy grant RottNRock team carried out their first field campaign at Teide and Las Cañadas Caldera in collaboration with the IPNA-CSIC Volcanology Research Team. The survey was conducted from the 5th to 12th of October 2024, with field work focussed on the Caldera from the 7th to the 11th of October 2024. We locally support them to obtain the required permits to rock sampling and drone (UAV) flight permits in the Teide National Park and we also learn a lot working with experts and up-and-coming researchers.
